A fascinating specimen of subtle designs, the new Adi-Rise Mid from adidas Originals appears to be another clean cut mid-top which recently emerged from its archive.
A closer reveals otherwise. Beyond the monochromatic black or purple, a fine intrusion of patent leather, perforated finishes, and reptilian print accents. A large 2 points Velcro heel straps underline the designs’ influences. The contrast white outsole further enhances the shoe’s balance between old and new, vibrancy and subtleness.
